The EXPLORER GT Electric Quad Bike takes quad power to the next level. It has a DC 60V 2000w BRUSHLESS Motor (Equivalent 3000w) and 4 Wheel Direct Drive that is capable of huge power and torque to tow heavy loads and drive across the most difficult of terrains.
This combination along with a 60v 50aH battery pack, gives extremely long battery life at big speeds, or use the 2WD to save battery life. A virtually silent riding is an ideal way of getting around without the concern of upsetting neighbours, passers-by or livestock.

I have owned this now for just over 6 months. We have a 20 acre hilly smallholding  in Somerset . I bought the quad to use in addition to our Kawasaki Mule, and whilst the BigBear 350  was being repaired. Information and service from the company was most reassuring. I also read some reviews before choosing a model.Â
I have lots of comments and observations to make which I hope will help others to consider when buying one of these.Â
I am in awe of this little buggy – in the morning when feeding the animals, you just turn the key and go – no starting, no faff. Its so quiet i have to shout to move the deer out of the way! In four wheel drive it is easily powerful enough to tow a trailer with 5 or 6 bags of concrete in up our rather steep fields. With the weather being so wet, I have had to ignore the warnings not to use in heavy rain and streams (on my head be it)Â as a tree came down in the storms one night across the livestock fence, and I had to go up with the chainsaw and the headlights from the quad lighting up the work area. I really appreciated its total reliability that night.Â
It is very simple to operate – the whole family can “go and get the quad” and take the recycling down the farm track, and if I am simply out and about pottering on the flat the 2wd option is adequate to get me around.
Don’t expect it to do all a petrol quad will, however (and dont forget its half the price). My version doesnt have a LSD or locking diff, so in the mud even in 4WD you have to be gentle with the throttle or you will spin a front and back wheel and go nowhere. Also, 2WD doesnt have the power to take me up an incline for more than a few dozen yards, but switching it to 4WD (and 2 electric motors) is quick and easy with the switch on the side.Â
If you are out in the wet, do wear a hood as there is a lot of torque, and the spinning back wheel will throw mud quite accurately up and down the back of your neck if there is even a small gap! I would invest in wider mud guards if possible.Â
Battery life is also perfectly adequate for my needs – if you do have an especially busy day, do remember it will take 6 hours at least to recharge. I would buy the lithium version next time, personally (they weren’t in stock when i bought this). .Â
I have to say that having used it almost daily for six months, i am delighted with it. At £5,000 inc VAT its a bargain,
Excellent service: delivered promptly and first impressions are that it’s very good value for money. It might not stand up to the every day wear and tear on a working farm but for smallholders like us it’s just what we need. Although I’m used to driving an EV, the acceleration took me by surprise. Very satisfied with our purchase.
